I have purchased many major brands of batteries. They leak early into the long shelf life guarantee. Myexperience has been the smaller brands such as these, Power Flash AA and AAA don't leak. My personalexperience is that, sometimes years after the shelf life date, no change is needed but I still do it. If abattery had a shelf life through Aug 2022 and has been in use for years as of Sept 2024 it is amazing tocheck power and be fairly close to unused batteries. Alarms, cocks, detectors, remotes, scales and otheruseswith varying life due to demand. Major makers eventually partially reimburse but who wants the acidmess and the hassle? Expected shelf life increased but not quality of major brands."
